Technical Support for Troubleshooting The
Silent Paint Remover
In the unlikely event that your Silent
Paint Remover stops working, try these troubleshooting
tips:
The Reset Button. If your Silent Paint Remover suddenly
stops working, the first thing you should check is the reset button
on the yellow handle under the power cord. The automatic shut off
kicks in if the handle reaches a temperature that can cause damage
to the tool. Allow the tool to cool off before resetting the button.
Cracked tubes. Check the tubes for cracks. If the tool
has been dropped or bumped into something hard, you may find that
a bulb is broken. Do not operate the tool with broken bulbs. Replace
the bulbs immediately.
Damaged Power Cord. Check power cord for wear or damage.
If the cord is damaged, please send the tool to our service department
for repair.
Disassembly. It is not recommended to disassemble the tool
beyond replacing the bulbs. The manual will describe the steps for
disassembly of the tool.
Tube Life. Infrared tubes have a life of at least 5000 hours.
Keep the tubes and the reflector clean for optimum effect. Store
the tool in the provided carrying case.
Dirty Infrared Tubes. Bulbs that have become covered with
paint residue will loose some of its effectiveness and many have
to be replaced.
Still Not Working? If the tool still does not operate, contact
our service department to return the tool for service. Tool should
be packaged well to avoid breaking the tubes in transit.
